The Kenya Network for Dissemination of Agricultural Technologies (KENDAT) is a Kenyan NGO focused on building farmers’ capacity to adopt and utilize appropriate agricultural technologies for improved income and better livelihoods. The organization implements projects mainly in Mt. Kenya Region covering nine counties which include; Nairobi, Kiambu, Nyandarua, Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Machakos and Laikipia.
We would like to engage a reputable audit firm to carry out the statutory audit of KENDAT for the financial year ending June 2020. The contract will be renewable for a three-year period. The objective of the audit will be to obtain reasonable assurance that the financial statements reflect a true and fair view of the financial position of the organization and will be performed in in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) and International Standards of Auditing (“ISA”). The audit Report will include an Independent Auditors Opinion on the audited financial statements.
Eligible Audit firms should meet the following Criteria;
- Compliance with registration legal requirements
- Experience of the audit firm with audit reporting under IFRS and ISA
- Reference for similar audits performed within the past 3 years
- Audit firm and staff must be independent of KENDAT
- Any potential conflict of interest in taking up the role must be disclosed.
