Mr. Green Africa incentivises marginalised waste pickers and base of the pyramid stakeholders by offering premium prices and added benefits. This restores their dignity and alleviates poverty while at the same time providing a continuous supply of valuable recyclables to Mr. Green Africa.
Mr. Green Africa then processes the recyclable material into valuable raw material and feeds it back into plastic manufacturers’ supply chain to enable them to achieve circular economy goals, and benefit from raw material cost savings while simultaneously creating a positive environmental impact.
For the journey ahead, we are looking for a passionate, genuine and talented Business Development Manager who will be responsible for managing the overall sales activities of Mr. Green Africa; such as, sourcing leads and turning them to clients, reaching sales quota, developing new business and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Tasks
- Develop sales strategies and manage sales forecasting to achieve growth objectives and enhance overall sales achievement with customers.
- Prospect and identify new leads and pitches to the clients.
- Provide client service to existing customers. This role is required to manage all aspects of customer relationships.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, and all stakeholders to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Developing pricing structures and payment options.
- Identify potential clients, Contact and conduct initial follow-ups on sales prospects & preparation of sales proposal.
- Achieve Company Financial objectives
- Identify trends in the market. Monitor and provide regular feedback about competitor activities & prices, market trends and lost sales.
- Ensure the usage and update of CRM customer data and quotations. Build and maintain customer relationships through effective database management & resolve their problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in managing the Sales Process in the Manufacturing Sector. Experience in Plastics in an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated success in building, elevating and nurturing relationships resulting in increased revenue growth.
- Fluent in English oral and written. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Proven record of Client Relationship and Account Management.
- High level strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated excellent closing skills,
- Ability to travel to and meet with customers within the entire territory is essential.
- Ability to deliver on target.
- Knowledge / network within the manufacturing industry a plus.
