Consortium Programme Manager at Leonard Cheshire

About the project

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage our new programme called Kenya Skills for Prosperity (KS4P) to ensure the effective delivery, financial management, monitoring and reporting of the project.

Kenya Skills for Prosperity (KS4P) is a new programme that will improve access to HE and TVET education for marginalised and unemployed youth, will strengthen education to industry links and develop an enabling environment for a strong skills ecosystem through technical assistance and capacity building.

This role will be the conduit between partner organisations, Chief of Party and Leonard Cheshire Head Office to facilitate a consistent approach to project delivery of the highest quality standards.

You will enjoy working in partnership with diverse stakeholders within an international development environment and will seek out new funding and non-funding partnerships so we can further expand our impact and reach.

The successful postholder will be encouraged to be the primary contact for partner organisations and work with them to develop and implement capacity building plans addressing gaps and needs.

The role is Kenya based and will require the ability to travel extensively.

 

About you

You will have demonstrable expertise in the management of development programmes preferably in the disability sector.

You will enjoy engaging and building networks with local and national organisations and have a proven track record of achieving this.

You will be able to work on your own initiative, balancing competing priorities to tight timescales leading the delivery of the programme with demonstrable impact ensuring that the programme meets overall quality and learning standards.

You will have a strong grasp on current issues, policies and best practice in inclusive employment.
