AMSOL Job Vacancy : LPG Manager

Our client an oil and gas company is desirous of recruiting an experienced and self-driven Manager- LPG, with strong business acumen and a strategic mind-set with the ability to lead in the development of long term plans to oversee its operations.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the General Manager, Downstream Operations, the ideal candidate will take overall charge of growing and managing the LPG business.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

  • Developing and implementing strategies for growing the LPG business;
  • Planning and implementing sales, customer retention and development strategies;
  • Identifying high potential outlets and other business development opportunities;
  • Overseeing the process of carrying out market research, gathering market intelligence and customer surveys;
  • Ensuring compliance to SHEQ standards and compliance to ISO procedures related to LPG section;
  • Preparing reports on LPG business including sales volumes, margins and regional analysis; and
  • Mentoring and Coaching staff; and
  • Preparing and monitoring the departmental budget;

Academic Qualifications

  • Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management or any other related field;
  • Bachelors’ degree in Commerce, Business Administration or other relevant field;

Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage ;

Experience

  • At least 10 years relevant experience in sales, 5 of which must be at managerial level.
  • Experience in logistics
  • Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) will be an added advantage
  • Proven intellectual leadership in managing people, operations and financial resources;
  • Proven ability to think strategically and design long term plans;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Superior Communication skills both written and oral;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Strong negotiation skills; and
  • Strong interpersonal skills
