Shamberere Technical Training Institute is one of the greatest Institutions in middle and Tertiary training which offers creative and innovative courses. Shamberere Technical Training Institute (STTI), locate in Kakamega County, was established in 1982 as a Rural Education Programme and later elevated to a Youth Polytechnic in 1985. It was subsequently awarded a Trade Test Center in 1996, catering for boarders and day scholars. The Institute is now registered under the then Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MOEST) as one of the technical training institutes in Kenya since 2009. The Institute has continued to grow in terms of enrollment and infrastructure and we are proud to note that 90% of our graduates are absorbed in the job market and 10% have been successful entreprenuers. The Institute is located next to West Kenya Sugar Company along Kakamega Webuye road off Kambi ya Mwanza Market
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that overall appearance of the guest house suites, hallways, conference hall, washroom and storage areas are
- Reporting to the production unit coordinator on any concerns that may impact on the outcome of the successful execution of products and services
- Arranging and ordering kitchen equipment, check inventory and keep records as necessary of the hall, guest house and kitchen
- Providing and making timely beverages/meals for visitors in the guest house as
- Deal with any guest queries/complaints in a polite and friendly manner ensuring guest satisfaction
- Continuously seek to endeavor to improve the guest house efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function
- Accept flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel
- To comply with the Institute’s policies regarding the following: Fire, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Security
Qualifications
- Must be 25 years of age and above
- Be a holder of Diploma in Hotel Management/Food and Beverage/Hospitality Management or related field
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in similar area
