From a small beginning in 1979, Glacier Products Ltd has expanded to become the market leader in the ice cream industry in East African region. The company’s headquarters are based on Road A off Enterprise road in Nairobi’s Industrial area in ultra-modern premises that house its head offices, production and storage facilities.
To support the implementation of our business strategies we are looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join our dynamic team in the position of an Supply Chain Officer.
Assist in Import Process, Coordinate Raw Materials Movements in Warehouses
Responsibilities:
- Raising purchase orders for all the approved goods/products.
- Processing Import Declaration Forms, letters of credit and marine cover notes.
- Sending all required importation documents to the relevant suppliers.
- Engaging clearing and forwarding and providing all the required documents to the relevant clearing and forwarding agents.
- Ensuring you obtain the custom entry from the clearing and forwarding agent for payments processing.
- Engage clearing and forwarding agents and providing all the required documents to the relevant agents
- Co-ordinate transfer of imported goods to various warehouses
- Prepare and maintain an updated Google sheet of imported products.
- Co-ordinate transfer of goods to production Road A and Kikuyu on need basis.
- Prepare and maintain an updated tracker(Google sheet )of all transferred products from the warehouses
- Posting on all received good/products in NAV upon receipt.
- Posting transfer all of good/products from the warehouse to production Road A and Kikuyu in NAV.
- Posting of all freight invoices and clearing charges in NAV
- Ensuring proper documentation of all shipping documents.
Qualifications
- University degree: Preferably in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management / Business related Course or related discipline
- At least 1-2 years proven experience in supply chain.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Apply due care, diligence, objectivity and consistency in decision making
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Good judgment and decision making skills
