The Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board is a State Corporation established by the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act (Cap 19) of 1990. The Board has the responsibility of regulating and enabling the NGO sector in Kenya. The NGOs Co-ordination Board started its operations in 1992 and is currently under the Ministry of Interior and Co-ordination of National Government.
Job Summary
Academic qualifications
- Minimum KCSE C- (minus) or its equivalent
- Certificate in a supervisory course from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in Customer Care from a recognized institution;
- Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
- A defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent qualification from any other recognized institution;
- A Certificate of Good Conduct (renewable after two (2) years);
- A First Aid Certificate course from St. Johns Ambulance or any other recognized institution not more than one (1) year old;
- Occupational Trade Test III Certificate;
- A valid driving license free from any current endorsements(s) for classes of the vehicles the driver is required to drive;
Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks
- Drive the Board’s vehicles to transport staff or deliver goods as authorized;
- Carry out minor mechanical adjustments;
- Recognize and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;
- Ensure security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;
- Monitor and report expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles;
- Prepare and submit reports on transport when need arises; and 7. Ensure safety of passengers and/or goods therein.
