About the role

  • Implement methods of supply, stock policy and update logistics requirements. Inform the stakeholders.
  • Send to suppliers the monthly/weekly needs of his/her catalogue.
  • Anticipate any availability issue regarding raw materials and inform key actors (logistics and production). Make recommendations to minimize impacts and to avoid crisis situation.
  • Manage raw materials level of stocks.
  • Ensure availability of new raw material for launches with suppliers.
  • Develop strong relationship with suppliers (KPIs follow-up, agreement on service level)
  • Analyze and communicate on all cases involving slow movers and obsolete materials.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in business or engineering with a bias for supply chain management/Operations management/finance/chemical, process and/or analytical engineering
  • Knowledge of the import export process and all the relevant documentation involved.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing sector is an added advantage (2 – 3 years)
  • Proactive profile with an inner drive to deliver
  • Ability to think ahead and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in MS-Excel
  • Capable of reacting appropriately to short and long-term issues and to be decisive
  • Great skill in planning and delivery within agreed timelines
  • Splendid team player
  • Must have legal permit to work in Kenya
