About the role
- Implement methods of supply, stock policy and update logistics requirements. Inform the stakeholders.
- Send to suppliers the monthly/weekly needs of his/her catalogue.
- Anticipate any availability issue regarding raw materials and inform key actors (logistics and production). Make recommendations to minimize impacts and to avoid crisis situation.
- Manage raw materials level of stocks.
- Ensure availability of new raw material for launches with suppliers.
- Develop strong relationship with suppliers (KPIs follow-up, agreement on service level)
- Analyze and communicate on all cases involving slow movers and obsolete materials.
Qualifications
- A university degree in business or engineering with a bias for supply chain management/Operations management/finance/chemical, process and/or analytical engineering
- Knowledge of the import export process and all the relevant documentation involved.
- Experience working in the manufacturing sector is an added advantage (2 – 3 years)
- Proactive profile with an inner drive to deliver
- Ability to think ahead and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in MS-Excel
- Capable of reacting appropriately to short and long-term issues and to be decisive
- Great skill in planning and delivery within agreed timelines
- Splendid team player
- Must have legal permit to work in Kenya
