Job Purpose/Description:
A System Analyst analyses and designs solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity as well as support business strategies and goals. They design and modify systems by converting user requirements into a set of functional specifications, which are the blueprint of a system. They will be responsible for the complete life-cycle of a new/modified IT system. They make recommendations for improvements, contribute to specifications for new systems, implement and monitor their effectiveness.
They will assist with technical pre-sales including proposal preparation, system demonstration and presentation
Job Responsibilities
- Analyse and design solutions to solve business problems using information technology
- Work closely with Business Analyst and Software developers to build systems that ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Analysing Finserve’s existing systems and business models and identifying options for potential solutions that are both technical and business suitable
- To translate Business requirements into System Requirement Specification.
- To conduct requirements analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems
- To plan and work flexibly to meet deadlines
- Testing to find problems before the final version of the system is released
- To liaise extensively with external or internal clients.
- To map and document interfaces between enterprise systems and the middle ware.
- To identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
- To present proposals to clients
Essential Knowledge
- A good understanding of the various software development lifecycles i.e. Waterfall model and AgileA good understanding of system modelling languages and notations i.e. Unified Modelling Language (UML), Business Process Modelling (BPM)

Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical or IT related subject, or three (3) years’ experience in a related role.
- Proven ability to analyse complex business requirements/needs and identify, design effective practical recommendations
