Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Must be profoundly articulate in Gusii, English and Kiswahili languages.
- Must have normal breath interval when presenting or carrying out interviews.
- The incumbent must have normal talking speed so that the audience can understand him/her.
- Must possess good voice projection when anchoring or doing interviews.
- Must possess good research, interviewing and reporting skills.
- High integrity, good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team setting.
- Must have a good understanding of media law and ethics.
- Should be able to quickly translate between Gusii, English and Kiswahili while on air.
- Must be camera-ready and at ease in front of a camera or studio setting.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Mass Communication or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- At least two 1-2 years of relevant experience working as a news anchor or reporter.
