Administrative Intern at Kenya Medical Research – KEMRI

Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.

Administrative Intern (2 Positions)

Reports to: Study Administrator

Duration: 8 months

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a training opportunity and the Interns will be trained on the following:

  • Imprest reconciliation
  • Management of petty cash
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Tracking expenditure
  • Prepare variance reports
  • Monitor & ensure payments for vendors are actualized
  • Management of Asset register
  • Inventory management
  • Procurement and tracking of supplies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree, (Finance/Accounting option), Business Administration or equivalent, CPA (II)
  • Below 30years of age
