Our client is currently recruiting for the above mentioned position. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years prior experience in selling billboards and advertising.
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Duties for the Marketing Officer Job
This role will have the following key responsibilities:
- Identify new opportunities for 3rd Party Events, In Mall Advertising & Non GLA income.
- Identify and sale all available 3rd Party Event, Non GLA, and In Mall Advertising spaces at the Mall.
- Develop and Implement an Annual 3rd Party, Non GLA, and In Mall Advertising sales plan.
- Achieve and exceed set Non GLA, 3rd Party Events and In Mall Advertising sales targets.
- Ensure that payment is collected in full prior to a client taking possession of a site/ space.
- Develop and disseminate weekly and quarterly sales reports.
- Develop appropriate rate cards for the identified 3rd Party Events, Non GLA and Advertising spaces.
- Coordinate and ensure all county licenses for identified 3rd Party Events, Non GLA and In Mall Advertising spaces are in place.
- Maintain an up to date roaster of active Non GLA and In Mall Advertising Spaces and ensure expired sites/ and or events / activities are delighted / removed on time.
- Where new structures are required for Non GLA spaces, propose specs for the new structure, source for NCC licenses, propose pricing structure etc.
- Follow –up on renewals.
- Administration of all 3rd Party Events, Non GLA and In Mall Advertising Income elements such as forecasting, reporting , invoicing , contracts and set-up.
- Organizing sales visits.
- Maintaining accurate records.
Required Skills And Competences
- Genuine passion for providing excellent customer service and a drive for sales.
- Experience in sales planning within a media sales environment, events, out of home. experience, digital out of home and / or integrated sales.
- Proven ability to develop integrated packages.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Has initiative.
- Has the ability to prioritize and plan effectively, with good organization skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Must be open to working on weekends and including public holidays.
- Must possess numerical skills.
- Self-starter.
Marketing Officer Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
- At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in selling billboards, advertising, events spaces.
