Job Description
MRM Mariakani is seeking to hire Two Production Managers. These positions report to the Operations and Planning Manager as part ofour Capacity Building and Succession Planning
Overall Purpose of the Position
To schedule, coordinate and control production process and activities efficiently within the established business plan to meet business objectives. Formulate operational stategies to achieve business goals and provide technical support to the production teams.
Key Performance Areas
- In charge of overall production and quality management in the production area that will be assigned
- Efficiently and cost effectively manage the production process and activities
- Set and meet production targets as per business plans
- Ensure the production is at optimal levels and institute corrective actions to eliminate deficiencies that may arise in the systems
- Implement best practices in engineering in order to optimize operations
- Ensure consumption control of consumables as per budget targets
- Manpower management by ensuring discipline across the shop floor and reduction of avoidable manpower costs
- Responsible for maintenance of production equipment through the maintenance function in the company
- Identify and implement methods to improve safety of our production operations
- Ensure compliance to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Standards in line with our policies
- Any other work that may be assigned by the management from time to time
Key Competencies
- A degree in Mechanical, Production or Mechatronic Engineering or its equivalent qualifications
- A registered member with the Engineers Board of Kenya
- Proficiency in SAP ERP Production Planning modules preferred
- Age 35 – 40 years with proven track record and working knowledge in manufacturing industry
- Good communication and Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience in ISO 9001; 14001; 18001and EHS & OSHA Systems
The Group subscribes to market-related remuneration. The Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with the applicant’s level of experience and qualifications.
