An officer at this level will be deployed at the County Headquarters, Sub County at the county and at the Agricultural Mechanization Services (AMS) Centre
Roles for the Agricultural Engineers Job
- Design agricultural structures, equipment, and processes
- Develop ways to conserve soil and water.
- Design processing and storage structures for agricultural products
- Perform extensive research and development
- Supervise production of machinery
- Estimate cost, reliability, and safety
- Test products thoroughly for safety issues and defects
- Use computers extensively to produce and analyze design
- Generate specifications for parts
- Control the efficiency of processes
Agricultural Engineers Job Requirements
- Must have KCSE C+ and above or its equivalent qualification.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized institution.
Competencies
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Extremely self-motivated.
