Project Administration Officer/Associate at African Institute for Development Policy

The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) is an African-led, regional non-profit policy think tank established in 2010 to help bridge the gaps between research, policy and practice in development efforts in Africa. We analyse, synthesise, and translate evidence (i.e. data and research) and use it to generate or strengthen political commitment, inform resource allocation, programme design and implementation. The aim is to contribute to the realisation of sustainable development by enabling the formulation of sound policies and programme interventions.

Job Description

The successful candidates will provide research, project monitoring and management, proposal development, policy engagement, and administrative support to the Executive Director.

The job holder will have proven experience in planning, coordination, communication, and monitoring in their work, and should be able to work well under pressure.

Applicants should have a Masters’ degree in Economics, Demography, Public Health, Education, or related social sciences with at least five years’ work experience in a project officer or project management role.

The job holder should also have at least five years’ experience at a senior level on M&E, including institutional M&E development and oversight.
