We currently operate in Nairobi, Mombasa. Eldoret and Kisumu with a fleet of over 300 vehicles, 100 in Nairobi with 50 dedicated to JKIA. The vehicles include Saloon Cars (Toyota premio model), vans (Toyota Hiace and Noah model), Four wheel drives and buses (Toyota coaster and Isuzu models) which are suitable for corporate individual and group transfers within and outside the cities
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a qualified business development and customer relationship manager to spearhead expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships. The ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build the brand through professionally meeting everyday transport needs of more customers reliably and securely. The incumbent will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve the company’s vision of royal customer experience.
Objectives of the Role
- Managing both existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
- Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business
- Create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
- Identify trends and customer needs as well as build short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies
- Motivate business development, front office customer relationship teams, track performance and report metrics
Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss findings
- Manage proposals response process, including detailed RFP requirements, contentcreation, and inputs from various sources
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with strategies, lead and facilitate pitch logistics
- Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategies, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company
- Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, customer relations, public relations or any related equivalent academic qualification
- Relevant professional qualification
- Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding working experience of at least 5 years in sales/marketing, business development, customer/public relations
- Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, service/product costing and budgeting
