Legal Officer II JOB GROUP ‘L’-/2021/KCPSB
Reporting to Director Legal Services
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare contract documents, leases and agreements between the office and other stakeholders, monitor legal obligations under the agreement to ensure compliance.
- Preparation of court pleadings and attending to court matters
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all legal matters with up to date status reports
- Implement legal policies, procedures and ensure delivery of the strategy under the set timelines
- Prepare and submit monthly monitoring reports and other periodic or special legal reports
- Undertake research on assigned legal matters and prepare legal opinions
- Draft and/or review legal documents, instruments and monitor legal obligations
- Advise on statutory compliance
- Assist in formulation, implementation and or amendment of office policies
- Collecting and collating research data
- Interviewing customers for proper referrals
- Any other relevant duties assigned by the Director Legal Services from time to time
Requirements for appointment
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in law from a recognized university
- A Post graduate Diploma in legal studies from Kenya School of Law
- Must have a valid practicing Certificate
- Must be well versed with the Constitution of Kenya
- Proficiency in Computer Applications
Must comply with Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Ethics and values by forwarding valid
- Tax Compliance Certificate
- Certificate of Good conduct
- Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) Clearance
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Clearance
- Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Clearance Certificate
- Birth Certificate
